The
ability to monitor and manipulate the dynamics of neural circuits with
light has transformed the way we study the nervous system. The young
transparent zebrafish is an emerging vertebrate model perfectly suited
for optogenetics. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together new
and established zebrafish labs with a shared interest in using optical
approaches to study neural circuits and behaviour. The main aim of
this symposium is to foster cooperation and collaboration between
labs, expose our research the larger neuroscience community and to
discuss recent progress and future directions.
